Gavin and his mother, Erin Brown, were on their manner to an anniversary party when they saw the vehicle throwing a cat out of their window onto a busy highway overpass
Luckily, a moving car didn’t hit the cat. He landed on the edge of the overpass, however, and remained attached to the asphalt. Gavin got out of the vehicle to Erin’s surprise, ran into the traffic and grabbed the cat just before he collapsed.
It was an intimate call! In an interview with Love Meow, Erin described how it all went so fast that she wasn’t sure which of the two scenes most surprised her: a cat thrown out of a moving vehicle or her son diving into the overpass, in the middle of moving cars, to save the kitty.
The cat is doing well today, but by what he experienced he was extremely traumatized. He cuddled into Gavin’s arms instantly at the moment, trembling with fear. Sadly, when he tried not to fall, some of his claws were torn off.
Gavin’s lap was never left by the tabby cat until they brought him to be handled at BluePearl Animal Hospital. Although the Browns did not have enough cash for the therapy of the cat, they still had priority over the well-being of the cat.
Erin shared what occurred while at the hospital on Facebook. The receptionist quickly informed them that a good samaritan who was touched by Gavin’s courage and kindness paid for the therapy.
Gavin was immediately connected to the cat, so the Browns chose to adopt him, naming him Lucky, a ideal name for a cat that a kindhearted kid had saved. Gavin is now determined to be a veterinarian. We bet he’s going to be a great vet!
