Disabled Man Leaves His Wheelchair And Risks His Life To Rescue Kitten Stuck In Drain

An act of kindness was captured in a video when a handicapped person came out of his wheelchair to shuffle a grass embankment to rescue a little kitten caught in a storm drain.

Last Saturday morning, 30-year-old Abu Fathiyyaturahma Menk Abdun Mujtahid first observed the kitten struggling to keep up the concrete obstacles in Sabah, Malaysia.

Although he was unable to use his legs, Abu did not hesitate to get out of his wheelchair to go down to the stranded cat.

His friend, who is in a wheelchair as well, succeeded in filming the moment Abu saved the kitten. When Abu first reached the drain, he knew that he was too far away to reach the kitten in order to try again.

The little kitten struggled to climb up as Abu checked the drain, desperate to get away from the water. Abu carefully picked up his arm, picking up the kitten away from imminent risk and returning to the grass embankment’s safety.

However, he was compelled to leave the kitten in the grass to use his arms for Abu to climb back up to his chair. And the little kitten used the chance to run across the street in typical cat-fashion, without so much as a thank you.
