Even Kuli had lost one of his eyes, he is still able to enjoy life with his human friends. He loves swimming and surfing and it makes him special.
If most cats hate water, it’s completely different for Kuli the surf cat. Even with one eye, Kuli and his owners, Alexandra Gomez and Krista Littlelon lived their life in a full manner.
Kuli’s name implies “looking blind” and with water, Kuli is totally okay. It’s likely because when he recovered from eye surgery, he’s used to bathing. When he started riding waves on a wonderful island, Hawaii, he was only 6 months old.
“His first time in the water, we just let him float on the board by himself near the shoreline and I would paddle around with him.” – Gomez shared.
The kitty has on him a life jacket when needed, so he’s all safe and sound.
Before Kuli could swim by himself, he always had a life jacket on.
“So we bought a board that Kuli would be able to get out on the surf with.”
Yet Kuli still wears it based on the conditions, if it’s too windy or the water is too harsh, his owners won’t bring him out.
